How to do Step Ups Exercise


 

Muscles Addressed

Glutes, hamstrings. Quadriceps

 

Instructions:

  1. Stand facing a box or elevated surface (of appropriate height) with feet together.
  2. Step up by placing your left foot on the top of the bench.
  3. Extend through the hip and knee of your front leg in order to reach a standing position on the box.
  4. While standing on the box with your left leg, flex right knee and hip in order to bring your knee as high possible.
  5. Reverse the motion in order to step off of the box
  6. Repeat.
